What a day – and what an incredible result!
ABC Jersey’s fifth annual Charity Golf Day has raised £30,000 to support Islanders and their families affected by breast cancer.
Held at La Moye Golf Club on Friday 4 September, this year’s event welcomed 100 golfers for another fully subscribed tournament, bringing together teams from across Jersey’s business community for a fantastic day of golf, fundraising and friendly competition.
Now in its fifth year, the Golf Day continues to go from strength to strength, with places once again in high demand and a waiting list of teams hoping to take part.
The day began with a shotgun start and Four Ball Stableford competition, alongside challenges including Beat the Professional, Nearest the Pin and Longest Drive.
Following play, everyone returned to the clubhouse for lunch, a raffle and live charity auction – with the wonderful Stephen Rafferty helping encourage our golfers to dig deep – before Mehdi & Ali Acoustic Duo rounded off the day with live music overlooking La Moye.
And, most importantly, together we raised an amazing: £30,000
Every pound raised will help ABC Jersey continue providing practical, emotional and financial support to Islanders affected by breast cancer.

Congratulations to Our Winners
A huge congratulations to Baker Tilly, our 2026 winning team!

And well done to all 100 golfers who joined us. Whether competing for the trophy, taking on one of the course challenges, bidding in the auction or buying raffle tickets, the generosity shown throughout the day was fantastic.

Five Years of Growing Support
The Golf Day has become one of ABC Jersey’s most popular annual fundraising events.
Its continued success follows more than £22,000 raised in 2024 and £17,002.90 through the tournament itself in 2025, when the Golf Day coincided with Mark’s Brave the Shave challenge to create a combined fundraising day worth more than £28,500.
The money raised this year will enable ABC Jersey to continue responding directly to the individual needs of Islanders affected by breast cancer – from financial and practical assistance to emotional support, wellbeing initiatives and projects designed to improve people’s experience throughout diagnosis, treatment and recovery.
Sarah Burns, ABC Jersey Ambassador and organiser of the Golf Day, said:
“Seeing this event fully subscribed again is something we’re incredibly proud of. We have teams who return year after year, alongside new players wanting to be part of the day, and there is always such a wonderful atmosphere at La Moye.
“To have 100 golfers joining us and to raise £30,000 for ABC Jersey is just fantastic. Behind that number are so many businesses, players, sponsors, volunteers and individuals who genuinely want to make a difference.
“Thank you to every single person who played, donated, sponsored, volunteered, gave a prize or helped us put the day together. We simply couldn’t do it without you.”
Thank You to Our Sponsors
A very special thank you goes to our Platinum Sponsor Medicann and Gold Sponsors Highvern and CSC for their generous support of this year’s event.
Medicann’s sponsorship forms part of a longer-term commitment to ABC Jersey and future Golf Day tournaments, building on an existing relationship with the charity that has already brought hundreds of Islanders together through the Medicann 5K Your Way.
Gary Whipp, CEO at Medicann, said:
“For Medicann, supporting ABC Jersey is about much more than sponsoring an event. Care, wellbeing and community sit at the heart of what we do, and we believe strongly in supporting people beyond the clinic.
“ABC Jersey makes a tangible difference to Islanders affected by breast cancer, so we’re incredibly proud to be the Platinum Sponsor of the Golf Day and to have made a longer-term commitment to the tournament. Seeing another fully subscribed event demonstrates just how much support exists within Jersey’s community, and we’re excited to continue being part of its future.”
Martin Hall, Executive Chairman at Highvern, said:
“HIGHVERN is delighted to support this important annual event, which brings together Jersey’s business community for such a meaningful cause. Congratulations to Sarah, the ABC Jersey team and everyone involved in raising such an impressive £30,000. We are proud to have contributed to the success of the day and to the vital work of ABC Jersey.”
Nicola Giraud, Channel Islands Managing Director at CSC, said:
“At CSC, we recognise the importance of strong relationships, collaboration and making a positive contribution to the communities in which we operate. The ABC Jersey Golf Day is a wonderful example of what can be achieved when Jersey’s business community comes together with a shared purpose.
“We’re delighted to have supported this year’s event and, most importantly, to know that the money raised will directly help Islanders and families affected by breast cancer.”
And a Huge Thank You…
An event like this takes an enormous amount of support behind the scenes.
Sarah and everyone at ABC Jersey would like to say a huge thank you to Bigwoods Premier Printers, Jersey Delight Ices, the team at La Moye Golf Club, Alan Cravo, Knight Frank, C. I. Engravers Limited and Framing Workshop, together with Tracy, Chris, Summer, Jackie, Aimee, Ella, Sue and Alison for helping make the day possible.
We are also incredibly grateful to everyone who donated towards our raffle and auction prizes, including Ian Woosnam, Longueville Manor Hotel and Restaurant, Somerville Hotel, The Royal Yacht, LGT Wealth, Mike Lavers, Rory Dervin, Jack Gibson, Amuse Me Hire and 1823 Cellar.
And a special thank you to Stephen Rafferty for bringing plenty of energy to the auction and helping us raise even more on the day!
Sarah added:
“We never take the generosity of our community for granted. A total like this gives us the ability to keep saying ‘yes’ when somebody comes to ABC Jersey needing support.
“The Golf Day is always great fun, but behind the golf and friendly competition is a very important purpose – making sure Islanders affected by breast cancer know they don’t have to face it alone.
“Thank you to everyone who made this year so special. We hope you’ll join us again next year!”
