As part of our 25 year celebrations, ABC Jersey is super excited to be hosting the fabulous CoppaFeel! team and their iconic Boobette volunteers for a Secondary School Roadshow in March 2024!
Specifically focussing on raising awareness amongst young people, UK charity CoppaFeel! is on a mission to ensure that all breast cancers are diagnosed as early as possible. Led by the CoppaFeel! team and their inspirational volunteers, known affectionately as “The Boobettes,” this fun and interactive presentation is designed to make a lasting impact. The roadshow has kindly been coordinated by Nina Stier, Assistant Headteacher of Le Rocquier School and funded by ABC Jersey, and our mission to support Islanders affected by breast cancer.
The Boobettes, volunteers with a personal connection to breast cancer, share their stories to inspire and educate young people on the vital habit of routinely checking their chests.

Whilst the school roadshow will be hosted privately at each secondary school, there is a public Open Evening on the 6th March being hosted at the St Helier Town Hall. Not only will attendees be able to see the presentation being hosted at schools, but there is the opportunity for Islanders to speak directly with the local breast cancer screening nurses, to answer any general questions about local screening and care services.
