On Friday 5th September 2025, we witnessed something truly special. Mark Tostevin, a dear friend and proud supporter of ABC Jersey, set out on a mission: play every single golf course on the Island in one day… and shave off all his hair at the final tee. All in the name of raising awareness for breast cancer and supporting those affected by it here in Jersey.
Starting at 4am in the dark at St Clement’s Golf Course, Mark made his way across all six of Jersey’s courses – cheered on by friends, sponsors, and well-wishers – before finishing at La Moye Golf Club, where his head was bravely shaved in front of a room full of supporters. The energy was electric, the emotion was raw, and the purpose was powerful.

Thanks to Mark’s courage, determination, and charisma – and the generosity of those who donated – we’re thrilled to announce that the Brave the Shave Challenge raised £11,426.80 for ABC Jersey!

ABC Golf Day Raises a Further £17,002.90
That same day, our ABC Jersey Annual Golf Tournament took place at La Moye Golf Club, with 25 teams competing, sharing stories, and supporting our cause in style. Kindly sponsored by Island Padel, the day featured great golf, a delicious lunch, and the unforgettable Brave the Shave finale – making it one of our most memorable fundraising days yet.
We’re proud to announce that the Golf Day raised £17,002.90, which, combined with Mark’s total, takes us to a phenomenal £28,429.70 raised in one day.
This funding goes directly towards:
- Post-surgery support cushions handmade by volunteers
- Ongoing wellbeing programmes for Islanders with breast cancer
- Community awareness and school outreach promoting our TLC message: Touch. Look. Check.
