Why the Pink Parade Matters
As Pink October 2025 draws to a close, we want to take a moment to say a huge THANK YOU to every single person, business, school, and organisation who turned our island pink with passion and purpose. The Pink Window Parade was back – and bigger, bolder, and brighter than ever before
From shopfronts and salons to cafés, offices and community spaces, we were blown away by the creativity, care, and commitment that went into decorating windows and raising awareness for ABC Jersey and the importance of early detection.
Behind every pink ribbon is a person, a family, and a story. The Pink Window Parade is more than just a visual display – it’s a community-wide statement that breast cancer awareness matters, and that early detection saves lives.
When local businesses go pink, it opens conversations, sparks questions, and reminds islanders to check themselves, talk to their GP, and know the signs. It also shows solidarity with those currently in treatment or living with the effects of breast cancer.
And the Winner Is…
Congratulations to The Fancy Dress Box, whose joyful pink display earned them the winning ticket in our prize draw! The winner was drawn on October 31st by the ever-inspiring Mark Tostevin, who completed his own epic fundraising golf challenge earlier in September!
Heartfelt Thanks to Everyone Who Took Part
We extend our deepest thanks to every business, group, and individual who supported this year’s Pink Window Parade. Your efforts helped create a wave of visibility and hope across Jersey.
Whether you went big with balloons and lights, or simple and heartfelt with messages of support – it all counted, and it all made an impact. Special shout-out to those who combined their displays with fundraising efforts, donation jars, and info leaflets – raising both awareness and vital funds.
Our Pink October Fundraising Heroes
This year, we were also honoured to witness some incredible individuals stepping up to fundraise for ABC Jersey:
- Emily completed her fifth and final ultra-marathon, covering huge distances across the island and finishing at the Freedom Tree to cheers and applause.
- Grace Thomson hosted a powerful Charity Boxing Class with BoxinBusiness and ran a delicious cake sale at the hospital.
- The Jersey Shotokan Karate Club held a Defensive Skills Course to raise funds and awareness in St Peter.
- Many wonderful cake sales, raffles, and coffee mornings took place across the island, from the Sister-to-Sister & West Collections with their raffles to St Clement’s Golf Ladies competition and local offices like Fairway!
- And of course, our very own Mark Surcouf – has bravely signed up for a fundraising challenge this November – more on that soon!
To all of you: thank you. You are changing lives.

The Pink Window Parade will return in October 2026 – and we’re already thinking about how to make it bigger, better, and bolder than ever. We’d love to see even more businesses represented next year and get schools and community groups involved too.
