A Night to Remember: ABC Jersey’s Gala at Pinkhills Raises £2,500 to Support Islanders in Need

On October 2024, we were honoured to host our annual ABC Jersey Gala at the beautiful Greenhills Country House Hotel. This event has become a beloved tradition, bringing together both familiar faces and new supporters in a warm and welcome atmosphere. It was a night filled with laughter, good company, and the spirit of giving—all in support of a cause close to our hearts.

A Magical Evening of Music, Dining, and Community

The evening began with the soulful sounds of Rich Allo, who serenaded our guests with a stunning pre-dinner set. His performance set the perfect tone for the evening, creating a joyful and relaxed atmosphere as everyone mingled and settled into the festivities.

Greenhills once again showcased its exceptional culinary talents, treating guests to a sumptuous menu that celebrated the best of local produce. Each course was a delight, and we are deeply grateful to Seymour Hotels and Carmelita and her team for their impeccable hospitality.

A Raffle to Remember: Raising £2,500 for Vital Support

One of the evening’s highlights was our grand raffle, which was met with great enthusiasm from our guests. Thanks to the generosity of our attendees and the invaluable contributions of our prize donors, we are thrilled to announce that the event raised an incredible £2,500!

These funds will make a tangible impact on the lives of those facing the challenges of breast cancer, allowing ABC Jersey to continue offering much-needed support to our community.

What We Support: A Legacy of Comfort, A Future of Hope

Over the years, ABC Jersey has grown from a small group of Islanders seeking comfort to a thriving community dedicated to making a real difference. The funds raised at our gala will directly support the following vital initiatives:

  • Financial Support: We believe that financial worries should never stand in the way of recovery. From covering travel costs for treatment to funding post-surgery essentials, our financial assistance provides relief when it’s needed most, allowing patients to focus on healing.
  • Emotional Support: Breast cancer is not just a physical battle; it’s an emotional one too. Our support groups, counselling sessions, and one-on-one meetings are designed to lift spirits and remind our members that they are never alone on their journey.
  • Practical Support: Sometimes, it’s the little things that make the biggest difference. Whether it’s providing post-surgery bras, arranging household help, or offering assistance with day-to-day tasks, ABC Jersey is here to lighten the load so our members can focus on their recovery.

A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Supporters

This event would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our incredible community. To everyone who attended, participated in the raffle, or contributed in any way—thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your generosity not only made the evening a huge success but also ensures that we can continue providing essential support to those who need it most.

Special thanks go to:

  • Rich Allo for the enchanting music that made the evening extra special.
  • Seymour Hotels and the Greenhills team for their continued support and exceptional service.
  • All of our prize donors, whose contributions helped make the raffle such a success.

Looking Forward: Continuing Our Mission

As we reflect on the success of this year’s gala, we are already looking ahead to the future. The funds raised will allow us to deepen our support for those facing breast cancer, ensuring that no one has to go through it alone.

If you were unable to attend but would like to support our cause, please consider making a donation or getting involved in our upcoming events. Every contribution, big or small, helps us continue to provide financial, emotional, and practical support to our community.

Thank you once again to everyone who helped make this evening so special. Together, we are creating a brighter future for those affected by breast cancer.
