Join ABC Jersey’s island-wide Pink Window Parade this October – a vibrant campaign inviting businesses, schools, community groups and Islanders to turn their windows pink in support of breast cancer awareness.
This year, we’re taking our Touch. Look. Check. message one step further.
ABC Jersey is proud to be partnering with My Breast Friend, a free app designed to help people build a regular breast-checking habit through friendly monthly reminders, medically guided information and easy-to-follow guidance.
So, as well as turning Jersey pink, we want to get My Breast Friend into as many pockets across the Island as possible.
Why It Matters
Early detection saves lives.
In 2024, we reached over 2,000 students through our school roadshow and handed out 1,000 self-check stickers on Flag Day. This year, we want to take our TLC message – Touch. Look. Check. – even further.
Knowing what’s normal for your body means you’re better placed to notice when something changes. But knowing you should check and remembering to actually do it are two different things.
That’s where My Breast Friend comes in.
The free app provides friendly monthly reminders to check your chest, helps you understand what to look and feel for, and makes regular checking easier to turn into a habit.

How to Take Part
1. Turn Your Window Pink
Get creative with all things pink this October – from balloons and bunting to pumpkins, paper crafts, florals or something completely unexpected.
Whether you’re a business, café, school, salon, office or home-window warrior, we’d love you to join us and help make the Pink Window Parade impossible to miss.
Share your creation online by tagging @ABCJersey, or send your photos to us so we can share them too.
2. Help Us Get Jersey Checking
This year, there’s another really simple way to make a difference.
Download the free My Breast Friend app and encourage your customers, colleagues, friends and family to do the same.
Our Pink Window materials will help us spread the message across the Island, with a QR code making it easy for people to find out more and download the app.
One window can reach hundreds of people. One conversation can encourage someone to start checking. One reminder could make all the difference.
3. Fundraise for ABC Jersey
If you’d like to take your Pink October activity a little further, we’d be incredibly grateful for your fundraising support.
Host a pink coffee morning, organise a workplace challenge, hold a dress-down day, create a special pink product or come up with an idea of your own.
You can set up a fundraising page through Sports Giving via our website, with every penny raised helping ABC Jersey provide practical, emotional and financial support to Islanders affected by breast cancer.
